Does your liver need some love?
I thought that January is the perfect time to celebrate our livers and show it some love as our livers really do work overtime especially during the holiday season and throughout the year.
There are many health conditions that are liver related that I treat on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Fatty liver disease, hormonal imbalances, weight gain, constipation, diarrhoea, tummy issues, insomnia, brain fog, itchy skin, acne, PCOS viral flare ups and cardiovascular health are some of the conditions that I work with in clinic.

Are you travelling over the holidays?
As you know, we haven’t been able to travel much over the past few years, especially internationally and this time last year our boarders were still closed! Now we’re able to travel again it can be quiet stressful organizing flights, accommodation and for some people, catching up with family over Christmas is an added stress. -

What is Hashimoto's Disease?
Hashimoto’s Disease isn’t a problem of your thyroid like hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism or thyroiditis. It’s actually a problem of the immune system and is an autoimmune disease. This is where your immune system is attacking your thyroid, causing it to under produce its hormones and slowing down all of your metabolic processes. Hashimoto's Disease affects mostly women and is a very common autoimmune disease and has symptoms very similar to those experienced in perimenopause. -
Are you tired of being tired?
Life is so busy and it can feel like a constant battle to find the energy to function when you are tired, stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted! I know it's so easy to grab a quick energy fix when you are feeling rundown, exhausted or burnt out. Most of these 'quick energy fixes' are full of sugar and are highly processed which isn't good for your digestive health, weight or your adrenals. It's important to eat a balanced whole food diet, whether you are a meat eater or a plant based diet.

Raw cacao is somewhat different from the common “Cocoa” most of us grew up eating and drinking. Cacao (pronounced “cu-COW”) refers to the Theobroma Cacao tree from which Cocoa is derived, and is used when referring to unprocessed versions of the cacao bean. -

5 Tips to enjoy your holiday celebrations and not feel exhausted
Our summer weather is perfect for catching up with family and friends over the festive season whether it involves a family picnic, bbq outdoors, trips to the beach or a swim in the pool. The last thing I want my clients to feel is that they can't take part in any festivities due to being on a certain diet or due to their health concerns. It is important for both their physical and mental health that they are able to live their best lives whilst being on their healing journey. I also like my clients to focus on their end goal and if they over indulge it is still okay as we can get back on track tomorrow. -
Hair Testing - finding foods and products compatible with your body
FoodFit Compatibility (Updated name and program) formerly Hair Bio-Compatibility Food and Product testing, is all about YOU! I will admit it has been a game changer in my clients progress as it has taken a lot of the guess work out as to what foods they can eat and what they need to avoid. Food is medicine is one of the basic Naturopathic principles that I love to follow in clinic with my clients.
